Welcome Gina Hunter, our Newest Diplomate!

Gina is a Forensic Document Examiner at the San Diego County Sheriff’s Regional Crime Laboratory. She began working at the crime lab in 2010 as an intern and worked her way up to FDE trainee in 2013. Gina received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Chemistry from San Diego State University in 2010 and an Associate in Science in Administration of Justice and Forensic Technology from Grossmont College in San Diego, CA in 2014. She also completed 4 graduate courses in Forensic Document Examination from Oklahoma State University. Gina completed a 3-year apprenticeship in Forensic Document Examination at the San Diego Sheriff’s Crime Lab under Senior FDE Marie Durina in 2016. She is a provisional member of ASQDE and an associate member of the Questioned Document Section of AAFS. In her free time Gina enjoys camping, traveling, and paper crafting.
