Robin is a Forensic Document Examiner at the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations Forensic Laboratory in McLean, VA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2003 and a Master of Forensic Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2007.
Robin began her career with the HSI Forensic Laboratory in 2009 as a trainee. There, she successfully completed a 30-month comprehensive training program in questioned document examination. As an examiner at the laboratory, she conducts examinations of domestic and international travel and identification documents to determine authenticity and reveal alterations. In addition to her document examination responsibilities, Robin demonstrates forensic instrumentation utilized by document examiners to individuals visiting the HSI Forensic Laboratory and provides instruction and training to law enforcement and other officials encompassing various components of questioned document examination. Robin has also served as a mentor for apprentice examiners providing on the job training regarding casework examinations and participating in expert panels for question and answer training sessions. She currently serves as the laboratory’s Instrumentation Officer.
When not at the laboratory Robin enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband.
